It Cosmetics ‘Sunshine in a Compact’ Review

You can take away my warm California weather, but you cannot take my bronzers from me. Well, you could but you would have to rip them from my cold dead grip… but at least apply some to warm up my skin before you leave.

The It Cosmetics Sunshine in a Compact in the shade ‘Warmth’ has been my die hard favorite since mid September. The shade is a flawless terra-cotta that brightens anyones skin without looking orange or too muted. The formula is honestly the butteriest powder I think I have ever felt. Now, this is not a contour shade. It applies best lightly with a fluffy brush over a minimal contour. I’ve found if I use Benefit ‘Hoola’ as my contour, my skin looks a little too grey, so I just dust this over top to bring life back into my skin.

I’m going to be honest, recently when traveling I opened my makeup bag and the product within the compact had shattered. Now, to tell you how much I enjoy this formula, I mashed it into a powder and spent two days fixing it with rubbing alcohol. Although it now looks like Frankenstein’s bronzer instead of the impeccably engraved version above, I’ve still been using it everyday. Moral of the story: even if it isn’t beautiful on the outside anymore, its whats on the inside that counts.
