I haven’t done a favorites post in quite a while, so what better way to start off the summer with my go-to products? I have been out of school for two weeks now and these cuties have been in constant use for my laid back summer style. I am a huge lover of bronzers; especially if they come from Physicians Formula. Their other bronzers in my collection are cool toned and matte for mild contouring. I decided to reach for a warmer, slightly shimmering option for summer. I just apply it with a angled brush in the low points of my face and then blend it around to create a glowing, and healthy look.
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow Deluxe in “Light/Medium” $16 I’m 99% sure I have expressed my undying love for the original Fake Bake Flawless to you guys before. In the past, I would apply the classic Flawless three nights in a row and leave it on as I slept. When I found out they made the formula but darker, I was sold. I purchased it and I haven’t gone back. Instead of sleeping with it on three nights in a row, I do one coat, leave it on for four hours and boom! I’m tan. It is super easy to apply and gives you the perfect tan (no Cheeto dust in sight).
Fake Bake Flawless Darker $30 If you want to hear the ridiculous story of me purchasing this foundation, check it out here. Basically, this foundation covers all my impurities, looks perfect and lasts all day without turning my already dry skin into the Sahara. I have used it at least 25 times since I purchased it and there isn’t even a dent taken out. All I need is 1.5 to 2 pumps to easily cover everything on my face. It leaves me with a dewy, photo ready finish. I’m debating purchasing another for my darker summer skin.
Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in “N120” $43 I think i’m so slow to join the Matte Lip Cream bandwagon… but ceist la vie. I purchased two shades that I thought would be a mauve-esk color (totally trendy, right?). Once I opened them I realized Athens (right) is a pale pink whereas Stockholm (left) is a darker more mauve-y pink color (a la she who shall not be named). I like these because they apply like a gloss, but they don’t dry out like a matte liquid lipstick would. They don’t have a superglue strong staying power, so I like to layer them over a thin swipe of my Colour Pop lippie sticks.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Stockholm and Athens” $6 each My first beauty post here on my blog was about this product, and I haven’t stopped loving it. It is a “volumizing and prepping” mouse, but I use it instead of sea salt spray on a regular day. Since its hot as the surface of the sun in California, using heat on my hair sounds like death. Instead, I wash my hair, let it air dry and then work in half a pump of this mouse into my hair to add volume and definition to my naturally wavy hair. PS, it smells just like the lemon Girl Scout cookies, so that is worth the money all on its own.
BedHead Totally Baked Volumizing and Prepping Mouse $14
