By nature, I am a procrastinator. A procrastinator with horribly dry skin. For a couple years now, there has been one moisturizer that works and I don’t buy a replacement until I am 100% out of it. When I walked into Ulta to get my monthly replacement, I was shocked to know my Holy Grail product was (cue ominous music)…. discontinued.
In the midst of my emotional breakdown in the skincare section, a wonderful associate helped me out. I told her I needed a thick moisturizer to keep my dry skin from trapping oil underneath and causing breakouts. She knew right away what I wanted. She lead me over to the Dermalogica section. Without hesitation she picked up the Intensive Moisture Balance tube and handed it over saying “I bet my reputation, this is better than what you used before.” She also told me because it is a spa brand, it wound break me out. Her confidence made me trust her, so I purchased it.
Three days later, my skin was almost completely cleared up and never felt softer. I’ve been using this product for about a month now and my hyper-pigmentation is nonexistent and I have one itty-bitty little acne mark on my jawline. This was huge for me since I have been battling at least one cystic-acne popup for the past couple years.
Honestly, I don’t even feel the need to wear foundation anymore and when I do, the only concealer I need is for my dark circles. I never thought I would be grateful that my favorite product was discontinued, but I am. My skin has made a perfect 180, and I am proud to say Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance is my ride or die beauty product.
