Happy New Year lovelies! I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and thank you all for making my 2014 truly amazing. Last February, I had to start this blog for a college course and it has genuinely helped me grow as a confident writer.
I can’t explain the feeling I get when people tell me they read my blog. When I bump into people and they tell me they read Hometown Heroine, it makes my day so much brighter (you know who you are). Getting emails from all of you asking about products and recommending more has created this wonderful community at my fingertips.
In the past year, so many amazing doors have been opened. Through connecting with other makeup junkies and swapping secrets, to writing a beauty column for SarahSarna.com. 2014 was a year of firsts for me, and I am truly excited to keep growing with you all.
2015 is going to be a more intense year for me; I have a lot piling up on my plate. With school, writing, blogging and my internship, I am going to make the most time possible to keep Hometown Heroine up to date. I may go down to posting just once a week starting in February, but I am going to try my best to do as much as I can.
When discussing my schedule the other day, I was asked why I don’t just cut blogging out for a little while? You want to know why I don’t? In the past year, my words, thoughts and opinions have reached 88 different countries around the world… I have to let that sink in. You all are truly amazing. The beauty community knows no boarders, and you all make me love what I do.
2015 is going to be a crazy year, and I hope you continue to join me on my journey (cue Anna cringing).
