Summer Skincare

When summer rolls around, I feel like we all break out a little bit. For me, I have dry skin and sometimes my skins natural oils get trapped under my skin and cause me to break out. Not fun. So I found a routine that works for me and I really hope it will work for you guys too!

SummerSkinClairsonic

1. The most important part of this routine is my Clairsonic Mia 2. I couldn’t decide whether or not I wanted to buy one of these because of the price tag, but I am so glad I did. I was asking all my friends who have them what they thought and everyone swore by them. I even asked my esthetician and she told me they are an investment and she uses one everyday. I wasn’t sure if it would work but given its two year warranty I figured why not? Let me tell you, once you start using this you won’t want to stop. It gives you the softest skin that just glows. I can tell on days when I don’t use it now because my skin feels tight and looks dull. If you have acne, dry skin or really any problem, this will really help you. I mean, it really changed my skin.

2. I needed a cleanser to use with my Clairsonic so I picked this one up at Ulta. I put this cleanser in my  May favorites post, so if you want to see the details on the ingredients and why I love it, check it out. All I have to do is put one pump of the product on the Clairsonic brush morning and night then use the one minute timer and gently wash my face. The cleanser itself is so cooling and it doesn’t smell like a chemical filled acne treatment. When I wash it off, my skin feels so insanely soft and it just feels absolutely incredible. And since its a drugstore product, I don’t have to splurge again like I did with the brush.

3. Last but not least is this scrub. Although the Clairsonic really diminishes my dry skin, I still get little dry patches that need extra help to leave. I used this scrub without the acne treatment in high school and I always loved it, so knowing that this fights acne as well makes my soul happy. I use this one whenever I shower. After the steam gets to my skin and opens up my pores I will scrub this all over my face for around a minute. Then while I finish showering I let it sit on my skin. It’s a really thick formula that stays put. So when I’m done showering I just rinse it off and enjoy pretty and luminous skin. Plus, you can’t beat the price for a product as good as this one.
