As much as I love a colorful lip, there are very few things in the world that beat naturally beautiful looking makeup. Nude lips are such a big part of that particular look for me. I don’t know why, but it always seems difficult to find pretty nudes that actually give you that look. Even if your going for a bold eye, a nude lip is still a must. So why is it such a pain to find a good one? Well, look no farther, I’ve got four swoon worthy nudes that will have you running to the nearest makeup counter.
If your looking for a high end shade, this is for you. It is highly pigmented and goes on so smoothly and stays creamy and has a wonderful sparkle free shine for quite a while. MAC has so many beautiful nudes, but this is by far my favorite. It is just slightly different from my natural lip color, so it just looks so chic yet still natural on. This is a more glamourous nude though, so it does look like your wearing lipstick which makes it perfect for a put together makeup look.
MAC Cosmetics – Cremesheen in “Pure Zen” – $16
If your more of a gloss girl, I would recommend this little one. The nude shade is beyond perfect and the formula is so creamy. It will last on your lips for some time. Its more of a pink based nude than the MAC Lipstick. The formula itself is thick and very shiny. Thankfully there is no glittery ingredient in it though. It also has a kind of fruity scent that almost reminds me of guava, which of course matches the color perfectly.
L’oreal – Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Color in “Nude Ballet” – $9.99
If your looking for something with less pigment then this is your lip color. I picked this one up at Ulta on a whim one day and its perfect for a day where you don’t want a lot of makeup on. The shade itself is a peachy color and it has the consistency of a balm with just a light hint of color. I guess thats where the Color Whisper name comes from. I’ll use this color when I don’t feel like wearing a lipstick but I just want a little drop of color on my lips.
Maybelline – Color Whisper in “Go Nude” – $7.49
This lipstick is such an oldie but a goodie. I bought my first one of these over a year ago and after a situation where people used it to write on someones car window, I had to go purchase another one the next day. It’s a very lustrous formula with the most wonderful pink nude. It’s one of those colors that just ties your entire look together without looking overbearing. I use this lipstick at least twice a week. It’s definitely a go to for me. It is a very buildable formula so you can wear it as just a light tint, build it to a glossy look or push it all the way up to a lipstick. It’s definitely my favorite lipstick.
Revlon – Super Lustrous Lipstick in “Pink Cognito” – $6.99
P.S. If your going for a super lustrous pigmented look, wear the L’oreal gloss over either the MAC or Revlon Lipsticks. They look awesome together.
