Bright Eyes

This little Elizabeth Mott eye shadow in the shade ‘Champagne’ is something I use on a daily basis. I received it in my April Ipsy bag and I have used it everyday since. It is the perfect natural and sparkly shadow and it stays put and doesn’t crease even without primer! On days when I’m in a hurry I will simply apply it all over my eyelid with mascara. When I choose to do a more elaborate eye, I use it in the corner of my eye as a highlight. When I feel like my eyebrow area is a little darker than I would like, or I want a highlight on my cupids bow, I will very lightly add a little for that simple sheen.

The Maybelline Fit Me concealer is my best friend when it comes to makeup. I use this product everyday and I go through probably one a month. They are the best, no joke. The consistency is perfect for an under eye concealer to simply cover up any discoloration and brighten your eyes to make you look wide awake. Generally, after I have applied my Fit Me foundation all over my face I will dab some of this under my eyes with the applicator then blend it down and also onto my eyelid with a RealTechniques Expert Face Brush. The combination of the concealer and brush create a dewy, brightened and airbrushed finish.

I also have a question for you as a follower of Hometown Heroine! I know I usually post something involving the fashion or celebrity culture on mondays, but the past two weeks I’ve done beauty like my friday posts instead. My question for you is would you rather have two beauty posts a week or one beauty and one culture? I will of course continue my personal style posts on Tuesdays. Thanks for your input!
